Umrah, the lesser pilgrimage, holds great significance in Islam and is performed by millions of Muslims around the world. There are no such specific Dua (Supplications) that can be recited during this spiritual journey. A pilgrim is supposed to be there for the remembrance of Allah (Subhanahu WA Taala) (Adhkar), seeking forgiveness of the sins, seeking blessings and guidance from Allah (Subhanahu WA Taala).Here are some of the important Umrah Dua (supplications) that pilgrim can recite and these Umrah Dua (Supplications) or in Urdu it is known as (Umrah Ada Karne ki Dua) are the teachings of our Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H. and the narration of the Sunnahs.

Dua while start travelling
A pilgrim has to recite the following Dua (Supplication) while starting to travel: Dua: “Subhana lazi sakharalana haazaa wamaa kunna lahu muqrineen. Wa innaa ilaa raubinaa lamunqauliboon”Translation: Glory is to Allah who has provided this for us, and we could never have had it by our own efforts. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
2. Forgiveness of all the Sins and the reward of accepted HAJJ is Paradise
Dua while entering into” Ihram”Once a pilgrim entered into the “State of Ihram'', a pilgrims has to offer the 2 Rakats of Salah i.e. Sunnat- Ul-Ihram”, after that make “the intention of performing Umrah '' by reciting the Dua. Dua: “Allauhumma innee uridul umrauh; fayassir haa li wa taqaubalahaa minnee”
Translation: O Allah! I intend to perform Umrah. Make it easy for me and accept it in your books.
Recitation of “Talbiyah”
After reciting the Dua of Ihram, then pilgrim has continue to recite the “Talbiyah” Talbiyah Dua: “Labbayk Allaahumma labbayk; Labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk; In nal-ḥamda; Wan-ni mata; Laka wal mulk; Laa sharee ka lak”Translation: Here I am at your service, O Allah; Here I am at your service. Here I am at your service, you have no partner, here I am at your service. Truly all praise and blessings belong to you, and so does sovereignty. You have no partner.
Dua for entering the “Masjid-Al-Haram”
While entering the Masjid Al Haram for performing Umrah, pilgrims have to place their right foot first then recite the below mentioned Dua.Dua: “Bismillahi wal hamdulillahi wassaulatu a laa rasulillah, Allauhummaghfirlee zunoobee waf tahlee abwaaba rauhmatik”
Translation: I begin in the name of Allah, all praise be to Him, and Blessings be upon the Prophet of Allah; O Allah, forgive my sins and open for me the gates of your mercy.
Dua for “first sight on the Kaaba”
It was reported that when our Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H. first sighted on the Kaaba, he recited the following DuaDua: “Allahumma zid hadha I-bayta tashrifan wa takriman wa ta ziman wa mahaba (tan), wa zid man sharrafahu wa karramahu mimman hajjahu wa tamarahu tashrifan wa ta ziman wa birra”
Translation: O Allah, increase this House in honour and ennoblement, reverence and awe, and increase the one who honours’ and ennobles it, of those who travel to it for Hajj and Umrah, in honour, reverence and piety.
Dua during “Tawaaf”
The starting point of Tawaaf is begins from the Hajar-Al-Aswad (Black stone), a pilgrim has to stand facing towards the black stone and make the intention by reciting the following Dua:Dua: “Bismillahi Allauhu akbar wa lilahil hamd”
Translation: I begin with the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and all Praise be to Allah. It was reported that during Tawaaf, when our Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H came between the Yemeni corner and the black stone of the Kaaba, the Prophet P.B.U.H recite the following Dua:
Dua: “Raubanaa aatinaa fiddunya hasanah wa fil akhirauti hasanah wa qinaa a zab annaar” Translation: Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Dua at “Maqam e Ibrahim"
After completing the tawaaf, a pilgrim should recite the following dua at Maqam e IbrahimDua: “Watakhidhu Mim Maqami Ibrahima Musalla”
Translation: And take the Maqam Ibrahim as a place of Salah.
Dua for drinking “Zamzam Water”
A pilgrim should recite the following Dua while drinking the Zamzam water:Dua: “Allahumma Inni as-Aluka Ilman Nafi an Wa Rizqan Wasi’an Wa Shifa-An Min Kulli Da-In”
Translation: O Allah! I seek from you beneficial knowledge, wide sustenance and healing from all ailments.
Dua for “Sai (Safa and Marwa)”
Sai is walking seven times back and forth between the two small hills known as Safa and Marwa, and a pilgrim should recite the following Dua:Dua: “Innassaufaa wal marwata min sha airillah, faman hajj al baeeta awi tamarau falaa junaaha a laihi aiyattawafa bihi maa, wa man tatawwa a khauiran fa innAllauha shaakirun a leem”
Translation: Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. Hence, whosoever performs Hajj or Umrah at the holy Kaaba can safely walk between them without fearing any sin. And Allah Knows and appreciates him who does any good with a willing heart.
Dua to recite when “leaving the Masjid-Al-Haram”
Dua: “Bismillahi, wassaulatu wassalamu ala rausulillah, Allahumma Inni As aluka min fadhik”Translation: I begin with the name of Allah, Blessings and peace be upon the Prophet of Allah, I ask you out of your Abundance/favour.
